Faith Lutheran College Plainland has an outstanding opportunity for someone with a Certificate III/IV in Education Support or studying Bachelor of Education to join our contemporary and progressive Christian secondary school in the role of Teacher Aide.

Ideally, this individual would thrive in a team environment, be solution oriented, and strive to create positive learning experiences for students in a hands-on environment.

Two positions are available: one is part-time at 12 hours per week during term time, and the other is 30 hours per week during term time. Both roles are based on 38 working weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities

This position encompasses a variety of duties including:

Promotes the mission and ethos of the College

Supplementary teacher aide support to a defined year level or phase of learning

Assist with the implementation of Learning Enrichment support offerings

Provide administrative support to Classroom Teachers of a defined year level or phase of learning

Provide support towards the effective operations of various College events, activities, and/or appropriate work functions

Selection Criteria

Certificate III/IV in Education Support or studying Bachelor of Education

Current Blue Card registration

Have a genuine interest in supporting the learning needs of adolescents

Actively supports the strategic direction of Learning Enrichment at Faith

Able to actively support the Christian and Lutheran ethos and culture of the College

Ability to work effectively in various teams in support of the vision for Learning Enrichment at Faith

Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders

Demonstrate the qualities of a lifelong learner

Demonstrated ability to assist teachers to enhance student learning

Displays personal drive and integrity
