About the role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Duty Manager to join the team at the Tugun Tavern, part of the McGuire Hotels' portfolio. As the Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of this popular hospitality venue. This full-time position is based in Tugun, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing and coordinating all staff activities to deliver exceptional customer service

Handling reservation inquiries, managing bookings, and liaising with customers

Monitoring inventory levels and purchasing supplies as needed

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

Providing leadership and guidance to the front-of-house team

Assisting the Hotel Manager with operational and administrative duties

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Duty Manager or supervisory role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team

Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to handle high-pressure situations

Proficiency in using hospitality management software and point-of-sale systems

Thorough understanding of food hygiene, liquor licensing, and workplace safety regulations

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
