In this role you will support the Director, Employee & Industrial Relations lead the development and implementation of effective employee and industrial relations strategy, policy and programs.

You will achieve this by providing expert strategic, tactical, and operational advice on a wide range of employment and industrial matters. Also, through providing contemporary coaching of managers and supervisors that support effective employee and industrial relations. You will co-manage union-employer consultative arrangements, lead negotiations with employee organisations about strategic issues, and mediate and liaise with employee organisations on day-to-day issues that affect the department and its employees. You will also be required to represent the department and perform advocacy before the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
