We're currently partnering with a purpose-led, high-growth organisation in the insurance sector to recruit a Senior Risk Manager for a permanent, full-time opportunity based in North Sydney with flexible hybrid working.

Our client operates in a dynamic, regulated environment and is committed to improving lives through their unique offering in the market. With strong values, a collaborative culture, and clear strategic direction, they are now seeking an experienced risk leader to strengthen and embed enterprise-wide risk practices.

This role will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and will be pivotal in driving a risk-based approach to strategy, projects, and operations.

About the Role

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise risk and operational risk frameworks.
• Provide expert advice across credit, market, operational, compliance, and insurance risk matters.
• Support the business in embedding a proactive risk culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Analyse risk data and conduct deep dives into key risk areas to generate actionable insights.
• Prepare governance documentation and reporting for senior leadership and the Board.
• Act as a key advisor to stakeholders on risk identification, assessment, and treatment across business initiatives.

Key Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in risk management, with a strong focus on operational or enterprise risk.
• Experience working within insurance with responsibilities managing APRA prudential standards risk initiatives is essential.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
• A solutions-focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
