Our client is a large APRA regulated entity going through a build and uplift of their group risk function.

We are currently looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join the Group Risk team. The focus of this role will be on Strategic Risk Management supporting the Head of Group Risk with managing the group risk strategic and emerging risk framework.

This role will see you get involved with:

• Developing and maintenance of risk taxonomy, RMS, RAS, KRIs including implementation through the group
• Developing insightful risk reporting to assist with identification and management of key risks as well as promoting a positive risk culture
• Developing and implementing strategic risk management framework
• Ongoing monitoring of the group risk profile including horizon scanning and identification of emerging risks
• Delivering presentations and training where appropriate to business unit leaders and management
• Various other group risk responsibilities

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• 8-10+ years risk management experience in an operational risk or strategic risk role
• Prior experience in banking or insurance
• Experience working in a group risk frameworks environment
• Self-driven and strategic thinker
• Excellent engagement and interpersonal skills, able to engage at all levels

You will be confident yet down to earth and hands on in your approach as you will be working in a lean environment.
