About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the Manager – Programs and Impact leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of multiple, concurrent community-led programs aligned with strategic priorities. Working closely with Yinhawangka People, organisational partners, funders and stakeholders, this role ensures programs are co-designed, culturally grounded, well-governed and impactful.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning, implementation, and oversight of projects to achieve agreed goals, timelines and budgets.
Facilitate co-design and genuine engagement processes with Yinhawangka members and community stakeholders.
Support the development and application of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks for continuous improvement.
Foster collaborative research partnerships that inform and strengthen program and policy outcomes.
Build and sustain effective partnerships with service providers and funding partners to maximise outcomes.
Provide policy and strategic advice to the CEO, drawing on evidence, best practice and community perspectives.
Drive strong alignment and collaboration across YCSO and related entities to advance shared goals.
Build and lead effective teams, nurturing a culturally safe, supportive, and results-focused workplace.
About You:
You will bring demonstrated experience in program or project management in Aboriginal, community, health, education or cultural settings with proven skills in co-design, partnership building and leadership. Culturally respectful and strengths-based, you communicate and collaborate across cultures and systems, with high-level organisational and stakeholder skills. Experience in the Pilbara or Native Title/Indigenous governance contexts is highly regarded.
Key Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated experience in program or project management, preferably in Aboriginal, community development, health, education or cultural settings.
Proven ability to lead co-design processes and work collaboratively with Aboriginal communities.
Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation and learning practices.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective partnerships with capability partners, ensuring program objectives and outcomes are achieved.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including across cultures.
Policy development or strategic advisory experience in a community, government or not-for-profit context.
High-level organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Commitment to self-determination, cultural respect and strengths-based approaches.
Proven ability to build and lead effective teams, fostering a positive, culturally safe, and collaborative workplace environment.
Desirable: Experience working in the Pilbara or other remote regions; understanding of Native Title and Indigenous governance context; relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, public policy, community development, or related field.
