The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified Electronic Instrument Trades Worker to join our maintenance team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of electronic instruments and control systems used in our production facility. Your work will be vital in ensuring our automated equipment runs efficiently, safely, and reliably to meet food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair faults in electronic systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and automated control systems
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on equipment such as mixers, freezers, conveyors, and packaging machine
Install and commission new instrumentation and automation upgrades
Maintain detailed service records and calibration logs
Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams
Ensure all systems comply with WHS, GMP, and HACCP standards
Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives
Key Skills and Experience Requirements:
Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or equivalent
Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
Solid understanding of control systems, sensors, and process instrumentation
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and WHS standards
Familiarity with refrigeration, batching, or CIP systems

Pay: $80,000- 85,000 + 12% Superannuation
