Your Day Support Services is looking for our next support worker to assist our participants to engage in their local community, participate in social outings, engage in recreational activities and be supported to build their capacity and independence.

What we need from you;

· Must have driver's license and own reliable car. Vehicle must be insured, and you need to be confident to drive all over Melbourne.

· Be available to work 3 full weekdays; minimum.

· Must be caring and compassionate but also confident and bubbly. We specialise in the areas of social inclusion, recreational engagement and capacity building so we are seeking support workers who are fun and can adapt their temperament to align with the needs of their client.

· You do not need a qualification in Individual Support (or equivalent ) but you do need to have an understanding of disability and mental illness. This may be through life experience.

· Need to be fit and healthy to engage in social activities of various kinds and be able to assist clients to do tasks in their homes i.e. light cleaning and tidying, preparing a meal, assist with laundry or in the garden.

· Must display genuine passion for empowering individuals with disabilities and a commitment to their wellbeing.

· Must be adaptable and have good problem-solving skills.

· Must be able to enter detailed file notes to support continuity of care

· Must have good fluent English; written and spoken
