The Organisation

The Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia Limited (AHCSA) is the peak body representing Aboriginal community-controlled health and substance misuse services in South Australia at state and national levels.

Our primary role is to be the ‘health voice’ for all Aboriginal people in South Australia. We achieve this by advocating for the community and supporting workers through our Member Services with appropriate Aboriginal health programs based on a holistic perspective of health.

Summary of the Role

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for supporting the effective management and operation of AHCSA’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining IT systems, providing user support, resolving complex IT issues, and documenting essential processes.

The position also assists with delivering training to enhance staff IT skills, collecting and reporting data on IT services, identifying and implementing service quality improvements, and contributing to IT projects and change management initiatives.

As a key point of contact for IT enquiries, the Information Technology Officer provides information, advice, and assistance to all staff as required.

Essential Experience

• Experience in the implementation and maintenance of secure and reliable IT infrastructure.
• Experience in using the latest version of a computer operating system for daily tasks.
• Experience in using databases and spreadsheets.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

• Experience in working with Aboriginal organisations, in particular Aboriginal community controlled health organisations.
• Experience in delivering comprehensive IT services to Aboriginal people within an ACCH organisation.
• Experience in using Communicare.
