Join our Marketing and Communications team for the chance to lead the redevelopment of LGA’s website while delivering effective digital communications across our website, intranet and digital channels.

Role opportunity

In this exciting opportunity, you’ll be responsible for leading the redevelopment of LGA’s website to revitalise our member offering, improve user experience and functionality, revamp the content and deliver on one of the organisations top priorities for members.

In this role you will:

Lead the project management for the redevelopment of LGA’s website

Review and update website content to ensure content is maintained and user experience is improved

Drive the website redevelopment and bring your skills and experience to generate new innovative digital ideas

Oversee website maintenance and publishing across our digital channels

Regularly report on website / digital analytics to identify and inform digital improvements.

About you

You’ll bring a wealth of digital communications experience to help deliver the redevelopment of LGA’s website – a key strategic priority for the organisation You’ll act as the subject matter expert and work with a range of stakeholders to deliver the project, providing better digital outcomes for members and support LGA’s brand.

You will need:

Demonstrated experience leading large-scale website redevelopment projects within government, public sector, or membership organisations (Squiz CMS preferred)

Sound experience using content management systems, preferably Squiz Matrix

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital communications, journalism or equivalent experience

Solid understanding of SEO principles and strategies to enable improvement

Strong experience in UI/UX, design thinking and accessibility requirements

Excellent digital writing skills which are tailored to channel usage, writes in plain English and understands accessibility (WCAG 2.1) standards and how to work to a digital style guide

Experience in website analytics (GA4) and using data to inform decision and platform improvements.
