Pathways Residences is a luxury Aged Care provider across Sydney. We are seeking a friendly Handyperson/Maintenance Officer to join our team in Killara NSW 2071 on a Permanent Part-Time basis -3 days a week between Monday -Friday, ideally 9AM - 5PM.

About the role

You will be responsible for the daily upkeep of the facility. The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including both administrative tasks and hands-on maintenance work. Some examples include:

Coordinating deliveries with contractors and suppliers

Responsible for certain inventory

Perform a variety of handyman tasks (changing light bulbs, fixing broken furniture, addressing minor repairs and replacements)

Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs

Collaborate with other departments and report to the Executive Manager the current status of jobs, repairs, inventory etc

Requesting quotes of external trade work, coordinating approved external trade work

Maintaining good paperwork that complies with Aged Care Standards

About you

Experience working in aged care

Minimum 1-2 years of aged care experience is required

Demonstrated experience in handyman/trade/maintenance work

Minimum 1-2 years of handyman/trade/maintenance experience is required

Awareness of regulations and the importance of compliance

Working knowledge of aged care regulations is required

Trade certificate or equivalent desirable

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Must have current police check, covid vaccine and 100 points of ID

Australian work rights are required for this position
