The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Python Developer to play a key role in shaping both our core platform and new AI-driven tools for clinicians. In this role, you’ll combine backend development expertise with applied AI experience to design, optimise, and scale modern health tech solutions.

You’ll work closely with the Product Team and CTO, building reliable Python systems, integrating LLMs, and helping deliver real-time clinical support tools that clinicians can trust.

What You’ll Do

Lead the design and development of Python-based services and intelligent tools that support clinical workflows (note summarisation, ambient listening, diagnostics).

Build evaluation frameworks in Python to monitor the performance, accuracy, and safety of AI agents.

Integrate LLMs and AI agents into real-time backend systems to support clinicians.

Collaborate with frontend developers (Vue.js & TypeScript) to deliver seamless user experiences.

Optimise backend infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and security in a healthcare context.

Share Python best practices and mentor other developers within the team.

Tech Stack

Backend: Python (agents & evaluation), Hono (TypeScript)

Frontend: Vue.js (Module Federation, SPA)

Cloud & AI: Azure, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic)

Architecture: Microservices, Monorepo, CI/CD

What You Bring

7+ years of software development experience, with strong Python expertise.

Proven track record in backend development and building scalable systems.

Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM APIs, or prompt engineering.

Familiarity with system monitoring, data pipelines, or intelligent system evaluation.

Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript (to collaborate across the stack).

Experience or interest in healthcare or mental health technology is highly desirable.

A start-up mindset: adaptable, curious, and collaborative.
