We employee 350+ staff across Victoria NSW and NT. This position is located at our head office in Malvern, opposite Malvern station and with the city trams at our front door.

The Accountant position reports directly to the Finance Manager and is responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR) and backup in Accounts Payable, month-end reporting, year-end audit, general office duties and administrative activities as directed by the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will be an organised individual who can successfully prioritise their workload, be proactive and able to pick-up systems and processors quickly.

Key role responsibilities include:

Accounts Receivable

Interest receivable

Loan interest payable

Monthly FBT payable

Bank reconciliation

Chattel Mortgage

Provision of Doubtful Debts and Bad Debts

Assisting in month-end reporting

Prepare and populate monthly financial reports

Assisting in year-end audit

Assisting with the preparation of annual budgeting and forecasting

Assisting with the preparation of statistics reporting (i.e. Carbon Neutrality Reporting)

Any ad-hoc tasks and reporting

The successful candidate should have a degree in accounting, ideally with at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, well developed written and communication skills. The ability to use a variety of software packages, particularly Excel but also, ADP Payforce, Microsoft suite would be desirable. Please submit your application and cover letter referencing AM0925

Expected salary Range $75,000 - $95,000 + Super
