The Organisation:
This small non-profit organisation on Brisbane's north side provides a range of valuable services to the community. This is an opportunity to step in as their interim Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance team. A permanent opportunity exists within the structure.

The Position:
This will be your dream position if you enjoy working in a varied and hands-on role where you will have full ownership of the accounting function. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Reporting & Compliance – Oversee all financial and management reporting, tax, fixed assets, and regulatory requirements, including industry-specific obligations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting – Lead budgets, cash flow, and forecasts with an understanding of seasonal cycles and commodity pricing.
• Analysis & modelling - Undertake analysis of services to understand profitability
• Oversee the smooth and efficient running of payroll
• Leadership – Manage a small team to ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
• Grant acquittals

Your Profile:
This role will require you to work in close consultation with the senior leadership team and board in a dynamic environment. To truly succeed in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in a non-profit environment with an understanding of grants
• Expertise in preparing financial and management reports for the senior leadership team.
• Experience in taking ownership of managing an accounting function for an organisation, while being able to motivate and lead a small team.
• Experience working in hands-on roles. You should also have the depth of experience to take full ownership of the role.
• You should be CPA or CA qualified.
• You will be able to inspire and mentor your staff while building good relationships with internal stakeholders in the business.
• Experience with Myob or Xero
• Strong Excel skills will be expected
