Public Sector People are working with a QLD State Government Department to recruit an AO3 Finance Officer on initial 4 month contract with potential extension.

• Location: Brisbane CBD
• Rate: AO3 - $50.37 per hour plus super
• Contract until end of January 2026 with possible extension

This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with a Queensland State Government Team and there is an immediate start available.

Key Duties:

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Processing supplier invoices accurately and on time, including managing supplier information in our database.
• Handling all customer payments and responding to inquiries about receipts.
• Reconciling daily receipts and preparing bank deposits.
• Managing administrative tasks like filing, archiving, and emails.
• Maintaining and updating procedural documentation.
• Assisting the Senior Payments and Receipting Officer, Financial Accountant, and Finance Manager with various finance-related tasks.

Key Skills Required:

We are looking for a candidate who has the following skillset:

• Tech One Experience
• High attention to detail
• Experience with high volume data entry
