Heidelberg Hire is a family-owned business that has been trading for over 60 years. We are offering full-time as well as casual work for the right person with our dynamic team in Thomastown. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, physical activity, and interaction with customers in a supportive work environment.

While not mandatory, previous mechanical & customer service experience is highly valued.

Position Overview:

As an Allrounder in our Hire Business you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience through a variety of tasks including pick-ups, deliveries, in-store customer service and general yard duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct pick-ups and deliveries of equipment to customers in a timely and professional manner.

Provide excellent customer service in-store and on-site, assist with inquiries, provide product and safety information.

Perform general yard duties including equipment maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and organizing inventory.

Handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading equipment.

Utilize computer skills to maintain customer and hire records, track orders, and communicate with team members.

Multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines/demand and customer needs.

Requirements for the position:

A current, valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with this job.

Basic computer skills for data entry and communication purposes.

A willingness to learn on the job as required and undertake upskilling where offered.

Must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and be able to multitask effectively.

Mechanical knowledge is an advantage, as is a current forklift license.

For Full-Timers, we offer a 38-hour week spread over 4 working days, including every second Saturday.

For Casuals, we are looking for flexible availability to work 8-20 hours per week with potential for additional hours as needed, and availability to work some Saturdays.
