About Bialik College

Bialik College is a pluralist Jewish school, embracing an inclusive approach to Judaism. All students attend one campus in Hawthorn, creating a close-knit community of students and learners from as young as three months old in our Children’s Centre, three years old in the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12 in the Senior School. Students come from throughout Melbourne, with many travelling to school on public transport or Bialik buses.

The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher to deliver high quality classes to our students. The role will involve teaching Units 1-4 VCE Legal Studies, Commerce and Business Management.

This is a full-time role commencing the beginning of Term 1, 2026

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver lessons and relevant assessment tasks based on the national curriculum and VCAA that align with the values of the College.

Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for applicable subjects.

Contribute to a professional team approach to teaching.

Understand the ways assessment and evaluation promotes learning.

Be familiar with and able to adapt to creative learning environments where individuals feel secure and valued while challenged to define and pursue their own interests.

Be able to identify, reflect and implement good practice in teaching.

Communicate openly and honestly with fellow staff members, students and parents.

Role Requirements

Possess VIT Registration along with relevant tertiary qualification.

Be able to demonstrate innovative practices in an educational context.

Be able to demonstrate knowledge, experience and passion for teaching.
