Green Light Worldwide are seeking an experienced VMware Consulting Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex virtualization and cloud solutions. This role requires deep expertise in VMware technologies, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to translate business needs into secure, scalable, and high-performing IT architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into VMware-based architecture solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise-level virtualization, cloud, networking, and security solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing technical leadership and best practice guidance throughout project lifecycles.
• Lead workshops, architecture reviews, and solution presentations with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Provide governance and oversight for VMware deployments, migrations, and integrations.
• Stay updated with VMware product portfolio, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Must hold NV2 security clearance (depending on project/client requirements).
• Proven experience as a VMware Architect, Senior Consultant, or equivalent role.
• Strong expertise in VMware solutions such as vSphere, NSX, vSAN, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vRealize Suite, and VMware Cloud on AWS.
• Solid background in virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud architecture.
• Strong knowledge of IT security, compliance, and governance.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor technical teams.

Certifications: (Highly Desirable)

• VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) – highly preferred.
• VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) in Data Center Virtualization, Cloud Management, or Network Virtualization.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
• ITIL or TOGAF certification for enterprise architecture practices.
