With strong growth, a reputation for excellence, and a genuine care for both their team and valued customers, they are seeking a highly capable Procurement Manager to join their team and lead end-to-end material sourcing and supplier strategy.

THE ROLE

As Procurement Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the procurement cycle, ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of construction materials across multiple projects. From negotiating with suppliers to producing accurate costings, your leadership will be central to maintaining project success and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Negotiations: Take the lead in negotiating supplier contracts and pricing, ensuring value and quality.

Procurement Scheduling: Manage procurement schedules aligned to current and upcoming projects.

Plan & Contract Analysis: Read and interpret construction plans, contracts, and costing sheets to inform decisions.

Costing Reports: Provide detailed costing reports and run costing meetings with key stakeholders.

Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through professional and proactive communication.

Financial Management: Oversee purchase order creation, invoicing, and cost control within accounting systems.

Continuous Improvement: Support and promote company policies, improvement initiatives, and compliance standards.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced procurement professional with the ability to balance commercial acumen and relationship building. Confident in negotiations, organised in process, and collaborative in style, you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your judgement and leadership make a measurable difference.

You will bring:

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management (construction industry highly regarded)

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive outcomes

Confidence in reading plans, contracts, and financial reports

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and stakeholder engagement

Strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness

Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/procurement systems

A proactive, disciplined approach, with the ability to lead by example and contribute to a positive team culture
