It is a broad acre cropping enterprise growing a rotation of sorghum, wheat and chickpea located in central Queensland only 30 mins from Clermont.

Position description:

As a farm hand, you will be operating John Deere equipment with both Green Star and Trimble GPS. Your duties will include but are not limited to harvesting, spraying, planting, ploughing as well as some earth works using dozers and loaders maintenance and repairs of these machines and general farm equipment as well as all other aspects of rural farm life.

The successful candidate:

• Be self-motivated as well as suited to a team environment with strong communication skills
• Must have the right to work in Australia (Mandatory)
• Experience in at least some of the tasks listed in the position description
• Be familiar with GPS systems on vehicles
• Hold a current Australian manual driver’s license and own their own vehicle.
• Has or can obtain MC licence (preferred)
• Have the ability to work long hours where necessary fit and sober habits during work
• There are incentives for mechanical or engineering trade qualifications
• Are mechanically minded and have the ability to identify and rectify a problem
