Electrical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Brisbane team. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the factory and assisting with the assembly, testing, and maintenance of our electrical systems and products.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the factory and maintain regular communication with the Production Manager.

Support production and testing activities as required to meet job delivery deadlines.

Collaborate with the Engineering and Production teams in the assembly, manufacturing, operation, maintenance, and testing of equipment, finished products, and electrical systems.

Coordinate with Electrical Engineers on the design and layout of electrical systems.

Conduct in-house testing, installation, and maintenance of equipment and finished products.

Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulations.

Test, install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment in line with safety and regulatory requirements.

Carry out workshop functions including installing assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices.

Perform electrical installations and circuit board assembly as required.

Contribute to research and development initiatives aimed at improving processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Proven experience in electrical assembly, testing, and maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and interpreting technical drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
