About the Role
Northern Cotton is seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations at its cotton ginning facility located approximately 30 minutes from Katherine, NT. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently in a professional yet remote environment. Reporting to the CFO (Melbourne-based), you’ll be the go-to person for all site-based finance and administrative tasks, while also contributing to process improvement and team support.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and receivable data entry
• Preparing and compiling payroll documentation for external processing
• Invoice generation and reconciliation
• General administration: ordering supplies, managing consumables
• Reception and frontline communication duties
• Relief support for Weighbridge operations
• Contribute to ongoing systems and process improvements

About You

• Strong computer literacy (Xero, Excel, Microsoft Office essential)
• Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or payroll support
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to help across departments
• Strong communication skills and confidence in liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Desirable:

• Experience in agriculture or remote work settings
• Familiarity with Border Rivers (ginning/weighbridge system)
• Cert IV in Bookkeeping or similar
• Prior involvement in start-up or process improvement environments
