Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between IT and business by assessing processes, determining requirements, and delivering data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders. You’ll play a pivotal role in scoping projects, improving service delivery, and supporting strategic IT initiatives across a variety of client environments.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical and functional requirements.

Conduct gap analysis, process modelling, and feasibility studies.

Develop documentation including business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.

Assist project managers in planning and execution of IT implementation and renewal projects.

Liaise with technical teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.

Provide insights on IT systems, infrastructure, and service enhancements aligned with client goals.

Identify and recommend areas for process improvement and IT optimisation.

Support client engagements by presenting findings, preparing reports, and contributing to solution design workshops.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or IT Consultant role.

Strong knowledge of IT service delivery, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and software lifecycle.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Proven experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft 365.

Ability to create clear and actionable documentation.

Desirable:

Knowledge or certification in ITIL, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Familiarity with Cloudflare, datacentre environments, or HPC solutions.

Experience in managed services or systems integration projects.

Exposure to Australian public or enterprise IT markets.
