HAS Earthmoving is proud to announce a number of recently awarded contracts, and as a result, we are seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team. This is a key site-based role that requires strong leadership, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously across a range of land development and Drainage projects.

About the Role

Reporting to our Project Managers and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of civil works, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained on-site.

Key Responsibilities

Direct supervision of on-site personnel and subcontractors

Ensuring full compliance with WHS and site safety requirements

Efficient allocation and coordination of staff, plant, and materials

Daily recording and approval of time sheets and subcontractor claims

Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety meetings

Liaising with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders

Key Requirements

Proven experience with GPS, machine control systems, and use of survey rovers

Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roads, and underground utilities

Capable of managing multiple crews and subcontractors across active work fronts

Able to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings

Competent with Microsoft Office and basic digital reporting tools

A team player who can mentor, lead, and upskill staff in a supportive environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a civil supervisory role

Demonstrated success on land development or subdivision projects

The ability to work independently while contributing to a broader team environment

Strong communication and leadership skills

A proactive and solutions-focused mindset

Current driver’s license and relevant construction tickets

Willingness to undergo random drug and alcohol testing
