We’re looking for an Account Director - Business Development to lead and inspire a team of 10 Business Advisors (New Business BDM's and Account Managers) across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and New Zealand. This role is all about driving new business growth, nurturing existing SMB clients, and scaling up our SaaS offering – all while keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do.
This exciting role is open to applicants living in Melbourne, Sydney and surrounding areas.
🚀 The Role
As an Account Director – Business Development, you’ll:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 high-energy Business Development Managers across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and New Zealand.
Drive new business acquisition in the SMB space, with a particular focus on trades and small business services.
Be hands-on in the field – coaching, motivating, and supporting your team to thrive in a short, fast-moving sales cycle.
Shape sales strategy, provide insights, and champion process improvements to boost performance.
Deliver against revenue, productivity, and customer experience targets.
Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, presenting data-driven insights and recommendations.
This is not a desk-only role – you’ll be side-by-side with your team, leading by example and driving results.

✅ A proven track record leading face-to-face sales teams in the SMB space.
✅ Strong experience in new business development and hitting revenue growth targets.
✅ Knowledge of marketing, advertising, SEO, SEM, digital, and SaaS.
✅ The ability to coach, mentor, and inspire – building capability and nurturing emerging leaders.
✅ Resilience, motivation, and an unstoppable drive to exceed expectations.
✅ Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a mobile, fast-paced environment.
✅ Tech-savviness and a flair for finding fresh approaches to sales and business growth.
