About the Role
Exciting opportunity for a dynamic finance professional to support the delivery of finance and payroll services at MTHC! We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to lead our finance team and oversee the optimisation of MTHC's financial operations.
As Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to manage day-to-day financial operations and provide hands-on support. This role involves managing financial activities with precision and efficiency, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards. The successful candidate will provide valuable strategic input as a finance business partner to the Clinic Management Team and foster strong working relationships with the operational team to support business decisions and initiatives.

About you

Essential Selection Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualifications preferably in Finance/Accounting, CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the non-for-profit healthcare sector.
Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire a high performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Extensive experience in month-end and year-end reporting, including analysis of budget and forecast variances and assisting with correction actions.
Experience in budget preparation and financial forecasting, including scenario modelling and variance analysis to support decision making.
Experience in managing external audit process, including liaising with external auditors, ensuring timely completion of audit requirements, and addressing audit findings.
Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and reporting practices.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and expectations.
Proven ability to prioritise, monitor and co-ordinate workload, with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.
Excellent computer skills including all MS Office products and advanced Excel manipulation and modelling skills.
Capacity for constructive self-reflection and learning from actions and feedback.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write clear, concise reports.
Desirable
Experience in payroll (or willingness to learn).
Experience in training and/or mentoring others.
