My client is a specialist investment manager who are looking to expand their accounting team.

This is a newly created role which offers the flexibility to work from home multiple days each week. The role:

• Oversee and prepare monthly financial reports and statutory financial statements
• Ensure strong hands-on financial controls and appropriate processes and procedures are in place across the business
• Ensure compliance with changes in accounting policies and technical accounting issues which impact the business.
• Manage the relationship with outsourced service providers and ensure the business maintains appropriate internal controls to safeguard investments.
• Lead various projects including the implementation of new systems and upgrades.
• Identify, drive and support major productivity and efficiency improvements to optimise returns.

The candidate:

Successful candidates will have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role, within financial services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High attention to detail.
