South Melbourne Friendly Grocer is looking for reliable and motivated individuals to fill the role of Sales Assistant.

Applicants must have Australian work rights for this position.

This is a part time role covering days/nights and weekdays/weekends. This role would suit grade 12 school leavers or university students.

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

In the role you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Supermarket including Customer Service, Operating Registers, Stacking Shelves and Merchandising.

The successful applicant must possess the following attributes

ability to operate the register and provide customer service

well presented and friendly with great communication skills. (100% fluent in English)

excellent merchandising and stock management skills

ability to regularly lift up to 20kg's

prior retail experience is preferred but not required

Applicants MUST be available evenings, weekends and school holidays (including Christmas)
