Role Overview

As a Hair Colour Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our colour department, training and development of salon colour services and staff. We welcome applications from talented individuals worldwide—if you're not local, we offer comprehensive relocation assistance to Canberra to support your transition.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their vision, hair type, and desired outcomes, providing expert recommendations on colour techniques, trends, and maintenance.

Perform advanced hair colouring services, including balayage, highlights, foils, ombre, corrective colour, and creative colour applications, ensuring high standards of safety and hygiene.

Collaborate with stylists and the salon team to integrate colour services seamlessly into overall client experiences.

Stay abreast of industry trends, products, and innovations through continuous professional development.

Training and educating younger hairdressers within our salon group.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a Hair Colour Specialist or Senior Colourist in a professional salon setting.

Formal qualifications in hairdressing or cosmetology, with specialised training in colour theory and techniques. (e.g., certification from recognised bodies such as Wella, L'Oréal, or equivalent).

Exceptional technical skills in colour formulation, application, and troubleshooting.

Expertise in advanced techniques including balayage, foiling, colour correction, toning, and working with all hair types and textures

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a client-focused approach to building lasting relationships.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Valid work rights in Australia (or eligibility for sponsorship/relocation support).

Valid Australian work rights required. We offer sponsorship for skilled worker visas (subclass 482/186) for qualified international candidates

Previous experience in a leadership role, including staff training, mentoring junior stylists, or managing a colour department
