The Opportunity
Our client is a respected organisation in the electronic security sector with a reputation for designing and delivering tailored solutions to enterprise, government and multi-site organisations.
With strong growth underway in New South Wales, they are seeking a true hunter-style Business Development Manager to drive new business (in NSW and QLD) and build a strong client base.
This is an exciting time to join, you’ll be the first pure hunter in NSW to join an existing Account Manager in the region, supported by a small local team, a strong Melbourne head office, and national delivery capability.
My client is open to Industry experience as long as it has some similarity, what we are really looking for are the rare qualities of positive attitude, high energy, genuinely hungry BDM’s who can generate and nurture opportunities and drive growth in the business.
The Role
- Proactively identify and secure new business across NSW (with scope to cover QLD initially)
- Target enterprise, government, council and franchise opportunities with a focus on multi-site clients
- Build your pipeline through cold calling, utilise social media, networking, trade shows and strategic outreach
- Collaborate with technical and solutions teams to win complex, high-value projects
- Play a key role in shaping the growth of the NSW business and positioning yourself for future leadership
About You
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronic security sales or a strong track record in adjacent technology sales
- A proven hunter mentality: No fear in cold calling, door knocking, lead generation and proactive pipeline building
- Commercial acumen, able to think strategically about multi-site, repeatable deals
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders at enterprise level
- Energy, resilience and the “fire in the belly” to build a territory from the ground up
