The Nurse Midwife Health Program Australia (NMHPA) is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of nurses, midwives, and students of the professions by offering free, confidential, and compassionate peer to peer support services. With a vision of better health for healthcare workers and safer care for the public, NMHPA operates nationally via telehealth and in-person services from various locations across Australia. Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, NMHPA is a key pillar in supporting the nursing and midwifery workforce.
About The Role
NMHPA is seeking a Regional Coordinator to oversee its clinical teams in WA, SA and NT. This is a newly created role reporting to the Clinical Practice Manager and responsible for managing the team of clinicians in your region as well as managing your own clinical case load component. This senior role is also responsible for coordinating staff allocation in relation to service delivery ebbs and flows, staff development and supervision to ensure effective and consistent delivery of the NMHPA’s peer-to-peer service delivery program within the region, in alignment with the NMHPA’s strategic directions, clinical practice framework, policies and protocols.
Some interstate travel will be required as part of this role as will participation in external stakeholder engagement and NMHPA promotional events from time to time.
What We’re Looking For
NMHPA is seeking a looking for a motivated and experienced clinical team leader who can demonstrate:
· A relevant tertiary qualification and registration in nursing and/or midwifery.
· Specialist qualifications or significant work experience in a related field (e.g. mental health, counselling, drug and alcohol or family domestic violence).
· A commitment to driving continuous improvement in clinical service delivery standards, outcome and staff support.
· Solid experience in successfully managing, motivating and educating a team of reporting clinical staff.
· Strong written and communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
· Compassion, sensitivity and integrity including the ability to resolve confidential and sensitive workplace matters.
· The capacity to undertake interstate travel when required.
