Finance & Payroll Manager

About the role

The Finance & Payroll Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the finance team, including the Finance Officer. Your remit will include ensuring compliance with Superannuation, Insurance, Workcover, PAYG, and FBT regulations, maintenance of all elements of the general ledger including month end processes, collaborating with the EGM on budgeting and forecasting, providing guidance to internal stakeholders, managing the end-to-end account payable function, managing end-of-year audits, and overseeing the end-to-end payroll function.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 76 hours per fortnight (1 FTE).

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has three plus (3+) years’ experience in a similar role overseeing finance and payroll roles
  • Possess a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong knowledge and experience in accounting processes and concepts
  • Strong BAS preparation experience with deep understanding of BAS, FBT and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in financial systems: MYOB, Excel, Salesforce, Stripe, Sage, Pro-spend, Microsoft Suite
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in small teams
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and organise workloads
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team leadership experience
