We are currently seeking a self-motivated and proactive Finance Manager to become a key part of our leadership team onsite at our Rutherford office.

Your Role: Finance Leadership Onsite

As the Finance Manager, you will be the driving force behind the financial health of our business. Your attention to detail and ability to manage diverse responsibilities will be crucial to our ongoing success. Based on site, you will lead our financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making alongside our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

Invoicing, particularly for mechanical parts and services

Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations

Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, superannuation, and banking

Handle Workcover, insurance and staff administration requirements

Prepare BAS and IAS statements

Maintain internal controls and deliver ad-hoc financial reports

Liaise with external accountants and financial advisors

Cost Control & Project Oversight

Monitor project costs, revenues, and profitability via Xero and Mechanic Desk

Ensure accurate job costing and manage work-in-progress (WIP) reporting

Oversee lease agreements, trade finance, and credit terms

Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients on trading conditions

The Ideal Candidate

You will bring a combination of technical expertise and business acumen, ideally with experience in mechanical or related industries.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance role (mechanical industry experience highly regarded)

Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software)

Strong bookkeeping and payroll experience

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
