ABOUT THE ROLE

Ngalla Wirrin Wungening (Our Spirit Healing) delivers alcohol and other drug healing practices, through:

We offer support to individuals with alcohol and other drug challenges themselves, and to families who need support for someone else’s use. Support options include one-to-one counselling, group work, and outreach services where we engage with clients in the community.

The Ngalla Wirrin Wungening (NWW) Coordinator is central component to the delivery of the Ngalla Wirrin Wungening (Our Spirit Healing) model.

The NWW Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities at their allocated place-based hub in line with the Ngalla Wirrin Wungening ‘Healing Journey’ and associated contracts.

Key tasks related to the delivery of NWW include:

Ensuring each hub supports clients in line with the NWW Healing Journey

Coordinates daily activities

Coordinates team meetings

Supports the team with guidance on healing practice through line management and supervision

Aspires to achieve continuous quality improvement in terms of the client and staff experience of NWW

The coordinator will be required to split their time between our Armadale and Rockingham hubs

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Community Services, Mental Health or Psychology or equivalent lived, living or professional experience.

Ability to coordinate, lead and be part of a team to deliver a high-quality healing service, including:

Experience in monitoring performance against key performance indicators and contracts

Experience in supporting the learning, development, and practice needs of individuals and a team.

Knowledge and respect for Aboriginal culture, protocols, and boundaries.

Knowledge of challenges and services from an AOD context.

Developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office Outlook and Teams.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

WA Drivers Licence

WA Working with Children Card

National Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months)

Department of Justice Clearance (as required)
