Practice Nurse – GP Clinic

Location: Morningside, Brisbane

Hours: Part-time (Monday, Tuesday, Friday initially + Thursday from late October)

Shifts: 8.00 am–2.00 pm or 8.30 am–2.30 pm (with some flexibility)

Rate: $40–$44 per hour + 12% super

Access: On-site parking and a train station nearby

The Role

We’re working with a long-standing private GP clinic in Morningside that’s expanding its team. With patient demand rising, they need an additional Practice Nurse to join their supportive, highly experienced group.

This is a role where you’ll enjoy variety in your work, flexible shifts that fit around your life, and the stability of a clinic where staff stay for the long term.

A Day in the Life

You start the morning with a warm welcome from the Practice Manager and fellow nurses. By 9 am, you’ve already supported a child through their first immunisation, updated a care plan, and dressed a wound for an elderly patient.

The rest of your shift flows between ECGs, iron infusions, assisting in minor procedures, and completing health assessments. It’s fast-paced and varied, but you’re never left to figure it out alone. Two experienced nurses are beside you, ready to guide and back you up whenever needed.

By the afternoon, the team is still working side by side—doctors, nurses, and admin all on the same level. Patients aren’t rushed; the clinic values time, compassion, and quality care. You finish at 2.00 or 2.30 pm, with your afternoons free and the satisfaction of making a real difference in your community.

Experienced AHPRA registered RN (GP clinic experience preferred but not essential)
