Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

As a Protective Services Officer, you will provide quality healthcare protective services ranging in nature from prevention to response and recovery.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide comprehensive security services and assistance to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors whilst also protecting the physical assets of the SCHHS.
- Provide primary response to fire alarms and other emergencies, under direction of Chief Emergency Warden.
- Guard, watch and patrol to ensure that the facility's security integrity is maintained, keeping an accurate record of daily activities/incidents in official notebooks, security logs, etc.
- Actively contribute to the de-escalation of patient responses, behaviour and incidents utilising endorsed evidenced-based contemporary practices.
Salary between $67 492 - $71 412 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $34.02 - $36.01 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (OO3) (several full time and part time positions available). Applications will remain current for 12 months. About Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service
Public health services in Queensland are provided through 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHS). These are statutory bodies each governed by a Hospital and Health Board. Some public health services are also provided by private providers.
The Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland, including monitoring the performance of HHSs.
Service agreements are negotiated between the Department of Health and each HHS. The service agreement determines the services that the department will purchase from the HHS and how much it will pay for the provision of these services (ie. the level of funding to be provided).
