About Arrahman College
Arrahman College is an innovative and dynamic Islamic school that opened its doors in 2022. In 2026, we will proudly cater for Kindergarten to Year 7, with an anticipated enrolment of 350 students. Situated in a high-growth corridor, Arrahman College is on an exciting trajectory of expansion towards becoming a full Kindergarten to Year 12 College, with a planned capacity of 800 students.

The Role
We are seeking a visionary, qualified, and experienced educational leader to serve as the Head of Technology Innovation and Discovery. This newly created position presents a unique opportunity to shape and lead the College’s strategic direction in Technology, STEM, and Digital Learning.
The successful candidate will not only champion best practice in teaching and learning but also drive innovative initiatives that foster creativity, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning across the College.
As a member of the Leadership Team, you will:
Lead the design and implementation of a forward-thinking Technology and STEM curriculum, aligned with NESA requirements and the College’s vision.
Inspire staff to integrate emerging technologies, robotics, coding, AI, and digital tools into engaging and purposeful classroom practice.
Develop a culture of innovation, discovery, and digital citizenship across the College.
Provide professional learning and coaching to teachers in the effective use of digital technologies.
Support the Islamic ethos of the College and ensure technology initiatives align with its values.
Collaborate with leadership to plan for the future growth of the College’s facilities and resources in Technology and STEM.
Build partnerships with external organisations, industry, and the wider community to enrich student learning experiences.
Ensure the safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology by all students.
Essential Criteria
A demonstrated commitment to the Islamic ethos and values of the College.
Relevant teaching qualifications with NESA accreditation (Proficient or higher).
Proven experience in leading STEM, Technology, or Innovation programs at a school level.
A deep understanding of current and emerging educational technologies and their application to enhance student learning.
Strong curriculum knowledge and experience in designing innovative learning programs.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor staff.
High-level organisational skills, with the capacity to manage projects, budgets, and resources effectively.
A commitment to child safety and student wellbeing.
Desirable Criteria
Experience with project-based learning, design thinking, and inquiry-led pedagogy.
Expertise in areas such as robotics, coding, AI integration, or digital media.
Experience in establishing or leading a STEM/Innovation Hub, Makerspace, or Technology Lab.
Ability to develop partnerships with universities, industry, and community organisations to extend student opportunities.
Flexibility of Teaching Duties
While the primary focus of this role is leading the College’s Technology, STEM, and Innovation strategy, the successful applicant may also be required to teach related subjects or undertake other reasonable teaching duties to support the operational needs of the College.

Remuneration: Salary will align with the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 at the successful applicant's level of responsibility and experience.
