ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated childcare professional for the permanent full-time position of Early Childhood Teacher for our center.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Education.

They must also possess the ability to be reflective, questioning and analytical. With a commitment to learning and professional development, the successful candidate will welcome and initiate constructive and critical engagement with their peers and others, whilst possessing a strong commitment to the Kindergarten-to-school transition and honouring the Early Childhood Framework.

The key responsibilities of this pivotal role are:

Responsible, in consultation with the Nominated Supervisor for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program for individual children or groups of children in care;

Implement the State-specific Kindergarten guidelines;

Daily observations of the individual children and plan from these observations to ensure that the needs, strengths and interests of the individual and the group are met;

Responsible for the direction and general supervision of other Educators up to this level;

Supervisor for the supervision of students on placement;

Ensure a safe environment is maintained for both Educators and children;

Ensure that records are maintained accurately for each child in their care;

Develop, implement and evaluate daily care routines;

Ensure the centre's policies and procedures are adhered to; and

Liaise with families.

ESSENTIAL

Early Childhood Teacher with a Bachelor's degree

Knowledge of the Children's Services Regulations;

A current Working with Children Check; or

Working with Children Card; or

Working with Vulnerable People Check;

Current Teachers Registration;

Current Driver's License.

Hold a current recognised First Aid Certificate; and

Hold a current recognised Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
