Support Coordinator - Casual
CoAbility
Posted 1 day ago
Make an impact with a values-led, independent Support Coordination provider.
Since 2017, CoAbility has supported thousands of NDIS participants to navigate the NDIS with confidence, clarity, and connection.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced NDIS Support Coordinator to join our passionate team as a casual employee. This role is designed to provide coverage during periods of staff leave or when caseloads require additional support.
This position is offered on a casual basis under the SCHADS Award (Level 4.3), paid at $58.66 per hour plus superannuation.
Location and Travel Requirements
This is a fully remote role — you’ll work from home as part of CoAbility’s virtual team, with all systems and supports set up for remote delivery. While most work is completed online or over the phone, you will occasionally need to travel for participant meetings or other engagements. Applicants should be comfortable commuting within a reasonable distance of their home for these meetings.
The Opportunity
By joining CoAbility as a casual employee, you’ll benefit from:
Supportive Leadership: Access mentoring and supervision from experienced leaders.
Collaborative Team Culture: Be part of a values-led, supportive team.
Flexibility: Take on caseload coverage that fits around your availability.
Fair Pay and Entitlements: $58.66 per hour (SCHADS Award Level 4.3 casual rate) plus superannuation.
Variety of Work: Gain exposure to a diverse range of participant groups and caseloads.
Pathway Opportunities: High-performing casuals may be considered for ongoing contractor or employee roles.
The Role
As a CoAbility Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional support services to Level 2 and 3 participants.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Picking up where the regular Support Coordinator has left off — respecting that they are the participant’s primary SC and continuing their work, rather than starting over.
Supporting participants to understand their NDIS plans and exercise choice and control.
Assisting with service connections, plan reviews, and reporting on participant outcomes.
Navigating challenges and removing barriers to access.
Collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen participant networks and resilience.
Upholding CoAbility’s values and person-centred practices.
What We’re Looking For
Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Social Work, Community Services, Allied Health) and minimum 2 years’ experience in Support Coordination or case management.
Strong knowledge of the NDIS and disability support sector.
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly build rapport and step seamlessly into existing caseloads, maintaining trust, stability, and continuity for participants.
Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.
A genuine passion for improving the lives of people with disability.
You will also need:
Full Australian working rights.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Your State’s Working with Children Check.
A valid Driver’s Licence and a comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
100 points of identification.
