About the Role
Reporting to the Directors, the General Manager is a newly created senior leadership role based in Warrnambool. Offering a salary of up to $120,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience, this position provides a unique opportunity to work closely with the leadership team to strengthen operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure the ongoing success of the practice.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Overseeing the firm’s financial performance, budgets, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Leading human resources functions, including recruitment, workforce planning, compliance, and staff wellbeing.
Strengthening governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks across the practice.
Providing oversight of IT systems, facilities, and marketing initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with firm strategy.
Delivering high-quality reporting, insights, and leadership to Directors and staff.
About You
You are an accomplished leader with proven experience in finance, operations, or professional services management. Highly organised and commercially astute, you are confident navigating complexity and enjoy working closely with Directors to achieve strategic goals.
You will bring:
Senior experience in financial management and reporting.
Strong knowledge of human resources, compliance, governance, and risk frameworks.
Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience in marketing or facilities oversight will be highly regarded, as will prior exposure to legal or professional services environments.
