About you
You are a compassionate and dedicated professional with a strong background in providing early intervention mental health support to children and young people. You bring a high level of knowledge and experience in child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care. Your approach is collaborative, engaging families, carers, schools, and support services to ensure wrap-around care that supports a young person’s wellbeing.
You hold a degree in Social Work (and are eligible for membership with the AASW), Psychology, Youth Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field, and have demonstrated experience working with children, young people, and families facing mental health challenges, crisis situations, or involvement with child protection services.
Culturally responsive practice is important to you, and you have a strong understanding of the impacts of intergenerational trauma, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You approach your work with empathy, integrity, and a genuine desire to support healing and resilience.
You are confident working both independently and as part of a team. You’re organised, responsive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a child-centred focus.
You bring energy, creativity, and accountability to your work, along with a willingness to learn and grow through reflective practice.
