Canine Cuddles was first established in 2016. We now operate in two locations, Balcatta and Osborne Park.

The Canine Cuddles team strive to operate a fun, caring, safe and enjoyable working environment. Our staff cover a wide variety of skills learnt both on the job and from prior employment fields.

The successful candidate will be required to work across both locations covering a variety of roles within the company. The ability to adapt to change within a group setting with quick response time while communicating leadership to the team is essential to succeeding in this role. Whilst the team dynamics are positive and communication throughout the facilities is maintained, Animal attendant mostly work independently with their assigned group.

Qualifications & experience

We prefer an experienced candidate with a Cert 3 Animal Care as a minimum. However, If you have previous experience working in a kennel, shelter or similar that would also be favourable.

We prefer the candidate to have prior exposure to speaking with customers and providing both positive and negative feedback.;

Basic level of Microsoft programs.

Evidence to demonstrate content creation for social media (Instagram/Tik Tok)

Tasks & responsibilities

Work closely with the managers and closing supervisors to ensure group dynamics remain appropriate for positive play.

Ability to work with a variety of play style, breeds and sizes with the understanding that they require different leadership styles.

Ability to work long days in a high pressure environment whilst remaining standing and moving amongst the pack.

The candidate is responsible for the supervision, control and management of daycare dogs and ensuring the safety of the playgroup. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the play areas as well as other areas of the facility as assigned.

Interact with dogs in playgroups using appropriate toys and tools to ensure safe levels of play and minimising stress levels of all dogs in playgroup.

Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and spread attention and play among all dogs in playgroup.

Creating and distributing media content for our dog owners through videos and photos using the staff provided Apple iPhones

Benefits

As an animal attendant you will learn what is required work within the dog play group as well. When a senior team member takes leave you will be given the training and opportunity to step into higher positions such as closing supervisor or assistant manager.

There is some flexibility in the hours worked as we can offer 20-32hrs divided over various shifts.

-we do ask for 4 days a week availability

-shifts can be from 3hrs-8hrs between 7am and 6pm.

Remuneration is dependant on age and experience.
