Duty Manager – Royal Hotel, Ryde

We’ve got an exciting opportunity at the recently refurbished Royal Hotel, Ryde. Thanks to internal promotions, we’re on the hunt for a motivated Duty Manager to join our vibrant team.

This is your chance to step into a key role with Young Hotels Group — a growing hospitality group with 6 hotels across Sydney and a new venue in the Riverina. The Royal has had a huge refresh in 2025 and continues to build a strong local following with families, regulars and new guests discovering the venue every week.

The Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of daily operations, working closely with the Venue Manager to keep the hotel running smoothly. You’ll:

Lead and support the bar, bistro, gaming, and front-of-house teams

Oversee reservations, reception, housekeeping, and security

Make sure compliance, RSA/RCG/TAB, and safety standards are always met

Jump in where needed to keep the guest experience seamless

Handle guest feedback and turn challenges into wins

Lead by example and motivate your team, while being open to feedback yourself

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

At least 2 years management experience in a busy licensed venue (gaming experience essential, accommodation a plus)

Current RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG

Confidence in compliance and incident management

A flexible, hands-on approach and genuine commitment to service

Leadership qualities, you inspire by doing, and you grow by listening
