Design and Build are proud to be partnered with a dynamic civil and lanscaping contractor delivering projects throughout Victoria. Our client provides a range of diversified solutions to multiple different construction sectors as well as local governments.

We are looking for a couple of HSE Coordinators/ Advisors that have worked in the civil construction space. This role would be well suited to a safety professional in the early stages of their career. We are looking for someone who is motivated to learn, expand their skillset and gain exposure within civil construction industry.

The Role:
Reporting to the Construction Manager you will work to help implement and develop HSE procedures for a number of landscape & civil projects in the company.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of project HSE documentation
• Overseeing, coordinating &/or delivering toolbox talks
• Conducting, when necessary, OHS inductions
• Identifying Safety risks and Environmental impacts
• Coordinating/participating in workplace inspections
• Working with the HSE team on company-wide initiatives
• Assisting in the review/upkeep/maintenance of our third party accredited IMS system, and
• Importantly promoting health & safety across the sites/business

About You:

• Certificate IV or tertiary qualification in OH&S or equivalent
• Previous experience working in civil construction industry or similar environments
• Full driver’s license and flexibility/willingness to travel and live away (for short periods if required)
• Construction industry induction card (white card)
