The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a dedicated and skilled Bitumen Operator to join our Built Environment Operations team. This full-time position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment and provides labourer support for road maintenance and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

safely operate plant including the Flocon truck, compactor, roller, and skid steer loader

undertake road maintenance tasks such as preparing and repairing surfaces for asphalt/bitumen re-sheeting and resealing

carry out general labouring duties and other tasks as directed by supervisors

What we are looking for

experience in safely applying hot and cold bituminous products for road maintenance and construction

specialised skills in road bitumen repairs and using a Flocon Unit

developed knowledge of safe bitumen and asphalt application

a current WA "HR" driver's licence and a Construction Safety Awareness Training card

the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

A salary of $77,212 pa will be offered based on qualifications, ability and experience as well as a range of benefits including:
