About this position
The City of Gosnells Waste Services Team is seeking a motivated and proactive Waste Collection Operator to join our dedicated crew. In this essential role, you'll help deliver high-quality waste collection services across the community, operating a variety of waste collection vehicles with professionalism and care. Your commitment to friendly, customer-focused service will make a real difference to our residents and help keep our city clean and thriving.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate:
A commitment to safety
Experience in the safe operation and user maintenance of a variety of specialised waste collection trucks and loaders, to provide an efficient, timely and cost-effective waste collection service.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a close-knit team, exercising initiative and sound judgement.
Ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload to achieve specified timeframes.
Essential requirements
Current Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Current HR driver’s licence
Previous waste collection experience operating side and rear loader waste collection vehicles is not essential but will be highly regarded.
