As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities

Providing personalised care and support to individuals with various disabilities, meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs

Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, and household tasks

Engaging clients in educational, recreational, and social activities to promote their well-being and community integration

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in accordance with their individual care plans

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track client progress and communicate with the wider care team

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, family members, and support networks to provide a holistic approach to care

What we're looking for

A strong passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their independence and quality of life

Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field

Previous experience working in the disability or aged care sector, with a demonstrated understanding of person-centred care principles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

A current driver's license and access to reliable transportation
