About the Role

The primary role of a TAFE SA Lecturer is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. Lecturers may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.

TAFE SA is now inviting applications from suitable candidates, in line with the selection criteria outlined within the Role Descriptor and Industry Addendum.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Fabrication and Welding, with current, hands-on industry involvement
  • Trade qualifications to a minimum of Certificate III
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or TAE40116
  • Strong expertise in advanced welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding, along with comprehensive fabrication skills
  • Understanding of current fabrication industry trends, knowledge and cultural practices
  • Familiarity with the MEM Training Package and its application in vocational education
  • Proficient in using digital tools (e.g. email, PowerPoint, web-based platforms, spreadsheets, and Office suite) to support training delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and collaborate effectively with colleague

Special Conditions
A valid DHS Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment. Please refer to the Role Description for all Special Conditions.
