Exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a boutique national
law firm and provide exceptional legal support services. This is a permanent full-time
position based in the Sydney CBD offering a competitive salary, professional development, and a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
The role
As a Legal Secretary, you will work closely with the Managing Principal and the wider team, playing a vital role in the preparation and management of legal documents and firm management. Your key responsibilities will include:
· Liaising with internal stakeholders with respect to the firm management, including information gathering, diary management, arranging meetings and travel arrangements
· Preforming general administrative and office duties
· Supporting in clerical and administrative tasks including preparing reports, file notes, briefing notes, correspondence, proofreading work for grammatical syntax
· Management of incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence, maintenance records and bookkeeping
· Acting as the first point of contact for the firm by answering all calls, emails and greeting visitors as well as directing or responding to inquires
· Database and file management, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
· Collaborating closely with the legal team to provide additional support as needed
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role
within the legal industry. You will also possess the following skills and attributes:
· Proficiency in IT skills, Microsoft Outlook and Word, PEXA, LEAP and InfoTrack and confidence in legal document management
· Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
· Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
· A genuine passion for the legal field and a proactive approach to learning and development
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
· A positive, pro-active and can-do attitude and ability to autonomously and in a team
· Understanding of a law firms inner workings, including strong drafting skills and an understanding of legal terminology, procedure and documentation.
