Enterprise API Integration Developer - Federal Government

Experis Australia is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise API Integration Developer to support a Federal Government department's large-scale digital transformation program. This role focuses on designing and implementing secure, scalable, and reusable integration solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies, including App Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with System Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to design and develop integration solutions that meet business requirements and technical constraints.
• Design, develop, and implement high-quality APIs with a focus on reusability, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Manage API versions effectively, ensuring backward compatibility and smooth transitions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for integration components.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Monitor API performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise for speed and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation including technical specifications, deployment procedures, API endpoints, authentication methods, and usage examples.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, integration patterns, and best practices to continuously enhance integration processes.

Skills & Experience Required

• Microsoft Azure Integration Services (App Services, Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus)
• API Design & Development (RESTful APIs, versioning, security)
• Testing & Performance Optimisation
• Code Review & Documentation

• NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).
• Strong experience in:
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Federal Government environments is highly desirable.

Preferred Background

• Titles may include: Integration Developer, API Developer, Azure Developer, or Enterprise Integration Specialist.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise systems and government digital transformation programs.
